According to the criminal complaint:

William was looking for the insurance information in the glove compartment of a friend’s car when she started yelling at the St. Louis Park police officer and rolled up her window.

The officer opened the door but told her to remain inside the car.

William got out of the car and began taking several steps toward the police officers, her hands clenched in fists.

When she did not follow police instructions to get back in the car, officers attempted to “gain control of her,” according to the complaint.

She resisted by kicking, screaming and pulling her arms to her chest, the complaint said. She struck one officer in the chin with an elbow and dug her fingernails into the left hand of the other officer.

William is in custody and faces up to a year in jail.
