St. Louis Park Man Choked, Punched, Robbed in His Louisiana Court Apartment, Police Say

"If you call the police, I will kill you," one of the man's assailants told him, according to a police report.

A 49-year-old St. Louis Park resident told police he was assaulted and robbed on Oct. 15 after returning to his Louisiana Court apartment from a doctor’s appointment.

The man said that shortly before midnight two black Somali men in their late 20s or early 30s knocked on his door. One he described as 6 feet tall, wearing a multi-colored hooded jacket, and the other as shorter and skinnier, wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

When he opened the door, the men barged in. The taller man placed him in a choke hold while his partner punched him several times in the face and torso before stealing $35 in cash from his pants pocket.
