UPDATED: Pedestrian Hit in Excelsior and Grand Intersection

A pedestrian was hit Tuesday morning in the intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and Grand Way in St. Louis Park. The walking woman was hit by a Jeep, according to Fox 9. Westbound lanes of Excelsior Boulevard were closed briefly and reopened at 7 a.m. The severity of the woman's injuries were not immediately known. Update 11:11 a.m. 11/13/12: In an email to Patch, police spokesperson Jamie Zwilling said the woman was hit at 6:37 a.m. Arriving on the scene, police officers found her lying in the middle of the westbound lanes of Excelsior Boulevard.
