BSM Students Take in Historic Italian Sights

The group traveled to Venice, Rome and Pompeii during spring break.

Yesterday, St. Louis Park Patch reported on a group of Benilde-St. Margaret's students that spent spring break volunteering in Guatemala. Today, we highlight another smaller group (seniors Nico Basil, Michael Conry, Anders Hendrickson and Tanner Speltz, junior Stephen Bauer and former BSM student Caleb Nesser) that took a historic, sight-seeing tour of Italy during the break. The following is written by BSM Latin teacher—and group leader—Rob Epler: Six students and four adult travelers went to Italy for this year’s spring break (March 26-April 4). The Twin Cities area is looking at one to three inches of snow today, just as many travelers are hitting the road for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Like the past several days, snow is expected to mix with a freezing drizzle earlier in the day, the National Weather Service Reports, making conditions particularly treacherous. By mid-afternoon, precipitation is expected to be mainly snow. The NWS has issued a winter weather advisory for all of today and into tonight, urging drivers to drive carefully, especially on un-plowed roads and overpasses. The bad weather is also expected to stretch into western Wisconsin. If you're traveling today and have any tips for fellow drivers, please share in the comments below. We'd also love to see your …
