(UPDATED) Jabs Sick, Scratched From First Pitch at Twins Game

Jack Jablonski was scheduled to be joined on the field by his brother, Max.

Update (6:20 p.m.) — Per the Twins communications department, Jack Jablonski is not feeling well and will not be at tonight's game. The wristbands will still be distributed. It was not reported if Jablonski will be able to throw out a first pitch at a later game. 5:45 a.m. — If you're able to make it to tonight's Twins game against Boston, you'll see a very special guest on the Target Field mound before the game—Jack Jablonski. Jablonski, along with his younger brother Max, will be throwing out the first pitch before the 7:10 p.m. contest. In addition, 13,000 Jack Jablonski wristbands will be handed out at the stadium's gates as fans enter. Nothing like a first trip to Target Field.

What’s America’s favorite pastime?  That’s right, baseball!  Last week, I had the pleasure of going to Target Field to watch the Twins knock the Chicago White Sox out of the park with some first time spectators.  Noah and Caleb Tietjen had never been to a professional baseball game, so this was extra exciting for them.  They were in awe of the grandiosity of the stadium as well as the height of the surrounding buildings.  The view of the buildings here was much different than the distant view from their St. Louis Park backyard.   The kids had a great and memorable first game experience, complete with Wiffle ball souvenirs, lots of energy and a ton of pictures.
