Winter storm Q moved into St. Louis Park late Thursday night.

Updated 11 p.m. Friday: The National Weather Service has again dropped the expected snowfall amount for St. Louis Park. We could receive between 2 to 6 inches through Friday. That means the morning commute could be difficult, so be careful out there. If we receive more than 3 inches of snow, a parking ban will go into effect. Updated 10 p.m. Feb. 19: The National Weather Service has extended the wind chill advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday. *** Updated 9 p.m. Feb. 19: The wind chill advisory in St. Louis Park has been extended to 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Wind chills could be as low as -23 on Wednesday, and -14 Thursday. As of Tuesday afternoon, the NWS is predicting 3 to 5 inches of snow Thursday night and 1 to 3 inches Friday. High Winds and More Snow Forecast Monday in St. Louis Park

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to more than 200 crashes and almost 400 spinouts as of 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Updated 11 p.m. Feb. 10: A weather spotter reported 2 inches of snow at 1:18 p.m. Sunday. No SLP snow totals have been submitted since then, according to the National Weather Service. However, at 9:30 p.m. about 2.5 inches were reported in Edina. So SLP should reach 3 inches of snow overnight. If we receive more than 3 inches of snow, remember to move your vehicles from the streets so city workers can plow. The National Weather Service says on Monday it will be "blustery, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph." More snow is expected before noon. Lots of folks driving with out lights out ther in the snow, sleet and drizzle. ANY precipitation require full headlights and tail lights (MN Wipedr law). Better to be seen and not hit. White vans disappear in this weather. Professional drivers use full lights every time the vehicles move. This even helps visibility if the vehicle is coming out of the bright sun. St. Louis Park Received 1 Inch of Snow Sunday Night to Monday Morning

The National Weather Service forecast 1 to 3 inches, but a spotter says only 1 inch fell as of 5:10 a.m. Monday.

A weather spotter in St. Louis Park reported 1 inch as of 5:10 a.m. Monday. Less than an inch of snow is forecast Monday night. The forecast has changed so it should be mostly cloudy this week, but very little snow is expected. *** The National Weather Service says St. Louis Park should receive between 1 and 3 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday morning. We will update this story with snow totals when we get them. Winter Park Ban In Effect In St. Louis Park

Snow, rain and freezing rain are in the forecast through Tuesday in SLP. A winter parking ban is now in effect, according to the city's website.

Thanks for the reminder, Rachel! *** As of 7:32 p.m. Sunday, a weather spotter reported 2.8 inches of snow in St. Louis Park, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). A notice on the City of St. Louis Park's website says a winter parking ban is now in effect. Owners of cars that are on city streets after 3 inches of snow fall can receive a minimum $30 parking ticket.  The snow is from a weather system that hit Sunday morning and continued throughout the day.
