'Sean Hannity is Not a Legitimate Journalist': Letter to the Editor

One 5th District resident comes to the defense of her congressman, Keith Ellison, after a very talked about encounter with Fox's Sean Hannity last week.

Editor's Note: The following was submitted by Richfield resident Donna Connelly. STOP TREADING ON MY CONGRESSMAN, FOX NEWS by D.G. Connelly If anyone should be blamed for that contentious televised interview between Keith Ellison and Sean Hannity that aired last week (on Tuesday, Feb., 26th), it’s me -- Minnesota resident and voter in District #5. Blame me, not my Congressman. For the past five years, I’ve been phoning his office and complaining about that oxymoron that is Fox News. I’ve been leaving him messages like, “We ought to bring back the Fairness Doctrine.” And, “Somebody should do something about Fox News because it’s not a real news network. It’s just 24/7 Republican propaganda. “Well, now Rep. Ellison has done something: he has…

It was hilarious! The socialist Keith Ellison showed that he can attack his :enemies" in the most vile manner possible. But he is too thin-skinned to answer a few hard-hitting questions from Sean Hannity. Minneapolis residents have every reasoned to be embarrassed by the childish display by Elllson. Even other Democrats laugh at Ellison, as he has been correctly voted as one of the least …   more ›

And the Couple With the Greatest Love Story in Minnesota Is ...

See who won the contest below.

Without further ado ... Richfield's Kyah Hanzal and Mike Hayek are the winners of Patch's Greatest Love Story in Minnesota contest, receiving nearly 50 percent of the vote. Their story was one of eight submitted to the contest. The couple not only gets bragging rights for the greatest love story in the state, but also a $50 gift card to D'Amico and Sons from Patch. Kyah submitted the couple's story and the following was how she told it: Once upon a time there was a girl named Kyah Hanzal from Richfield, MN who started going to school in Richfield with Mike Hayek in 3rd grade. Growing up they crossed paths many times, including gym classes in middle school and social studies classes in high school. It may have seemed that they would have …

Kim, thanks for your concern but divorce is not an option in either of our books. Also, we know our love story is not the greatest in Minnesota but I got all of my friends to vote so I could surprise Mike and take him out for once. I just can't wait to marry the love of my life.   more ›

Letter to the Editor: Keith Ellison 'Gets It'

A local shows his support for Rep. Keith Ellison's re-election bid.

Dear Editor, The best campaign slogan this election year comes from Congressman Keith Ellison: EVERYBODY COUNTS, EVERYBODY MATTERS. That says it all, doesn’t it? It shows respect for his constituency—even for those people who didn’t vote for him. It also shows an awareness of his own voting on Capitol Hill. He understands how his legislative action can impact the lives of ALL Americans—not just Minnesotans, but everybody in this country. Keith Ellison is one of those rare politicians who actually believes in the American Dream. Regardless of color, creed, ethnicity, or ideology, he knows we’re all dreamers in this idealistic country together. He knows that his America is also my America, your America, our America. He really “gets it.” More…

Sorry, Ellison supporters but you are choosing to bend reality in order to fit your ideology. The American Civil War lasted four years, in the end Slaves were free in America. In 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat and in 1964 this country passed the Civil Rights Act with D's and R's. In 1961 President Kennedy made his Man to the Moon speech and in 1969 America made it happen. Keith …   more ›
