Two SLP Teams Headed to National History Day Contest
Seven local sophomores will be competing at the University of Maryland this summer.

Two St. Louis Park High School teams recently qualified for the National History Day Contest, which will be held this summer on the University of Maryland campus. The two teams consist of seven students total. Sophomores Gabe Bichinho, Emma Weisner, Bessie Bulman and Luke Von Eschen took first place for Senior Group Performance at the state contest, held April 29 at the University of Minnesota. Sophomores Jonah Resnick, Conner Youngren and Isaac Greenwood also qualified for nationals by taking second in Senior Group Documentary for "Leni Riefenstahl's Revolutionary Film Work." Ann Jurewicz, a history teacher at the high school, had a total of 14 entrees …
