Meredith Homans and Arika Mareck are moving on to the next stage of the process. Finalists will be named in late March, and the winner will be announced in May.

Two St. Louis Park educators are semifinalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year. Meredith Homans and Arika Mareck were included on a list released by Education Minnesota on Tuesday morning. They were named candidates earlier this month. Homans is a language arts teacher at St. Louis Park Middle School. Mareck is an English teacher at St. Louis Park High School. Last year, psychology and social studies teacher Greg Goddard was a semifinalist and then a finalist for the award.
