When Liquor Boy opened its doors last month, a lot of St. Louis Park residents paid attention.
On Nov. 26, a 10,000-square-foot liquor store opened in St. Louis Park. The Patch story about Liquor Boy quickly became one of the most read stories of the year. Prior to the opening, owner John Wolf said Liquor Boy would have a large selection of beer, wines and spirits, such as 80 single malt Scotches varieties and 800 different wine choices. Those statistics might explain why so many people read the story. Several commented on it, as well. It was a big year for beer, wine and all forms of liquor in SLP. The new 10,000-square-foot Liquor Boy opens Monday, Nov. 26, in SLP's Park Place Shops.
A 10,000-foot warehouse-style liquor store will open on Monday, Nov. 26 in the Park Place Shops of St. Louis Park. John Wolf, who also owns Chicago Lake Liquors in Minneapolis, said Liquor Boy will be just like its sister store— but on a larger scale. The store is located at 5620 Park Place Boulevard, next to OfficeMax, near Costco and the Shops at West End. Liquor Boy will be open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. “Liquor Boy is completely different—something people have never before seen in the Twin Cities," Wolf said. I have visited now as well. Not seeing the big price difference, either. The personnel were friendly and available if I needed help. I'll probably stick with my usual place.   more ›
