New Harry Potter Film Keeps Teens, Adults Up All Night in St. Louis Park

The premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" brings more than 1,500 to ICON Theatres at West End.

People of all ages showed up in droves  — and capes — to catch their favorite wizard in action early Friday in St. Louis Park. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" premiered at 12:01am at the ICON Theatres at West End, and the enthusiasm among the diverse group of fans was evident. "We've gone to every midnight premiere so far — for the books and the movies," said St. Louis Park resident Grace Abbott. Her friend, Maddie Tierney, added that they've "been pre-gaming all week long by watching all of the movies and having Harry Potter marathons in preparation for premiere night."  For some premiere attendees, being up too late on a school night is a ghost from the past.
