Share the potholes you know about and see which ones others have found.
Each year the freeze and thaw of winter breaks down roads—and that can break down cars. Since potholes are regular obstacles for drivers on Twin Cities roads, Patch would like your help notifying the community about the worst ones. First, use the tool at the top of the page to share any potholes you know about. Just select the road type and then fill in the details in the remaining fields. When you’re done, use the second tool to search for potholes others have found. Happy driving!

Golden Valley and Minnetonka Police Departments arrested Jeffrey Frank, of Richfield, at Interstate 394 and Highway 100 on Aug. 21.
The intersection of Interstate 394 and Minnesota Highway 100 was a mess Tuesday morning as multiple agencies converged to take down a fugitive wanted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections. Details of the incident are sketchy, but officers converged on the suspect around 9 a.m. this morning to apprehend the suspect. Minnesota Department of Transportation cameras captured the action as more than a half dozen marked and unmarked vehicles came to the scene. The Facebook site Police Clips stated the fugitive had a record of assaulting officers and fleeing in the past. Patch will have more on this story as it develops. [The following weekly update was sent out by Sen. Ron Latz (DFL-District 44).] We said good-bye to a friend this week; Senator Gary Kubly lost his year-long fight with ALS. On Monday, there was a moment of silence on the Senate floor followed by some very touching tributes. Senator Kubly was a dedicated public servant that always had the best interest of his constituents in mind and my thoughts and prayers go out to Pat and her family. The Senate cancelled all work on Wednesday and Governor Dayton proclaimed it Gary Kubly Day. Floor session on Thursday contained long and loud discussion around the Republican’s withdrawal of the “Right to Work” constitutional amendment (S.F. 1705) from the Jobs & Economic Growth Committee, which has …

The state senator criticized the bill for funding cuts, collective bargaining changes.
Add K-12 education to the already long list of issues that divide DFLers and Republicans. State Sen. Ron Latz (DFL-District 44) said the K-12 education bill progressing through the Legislature is “deficient.” The bill would actually increase per-pupil payments to schools. But these gains are offset by cuts or freezes to special education and so-called “integration aid” for large school districts like Minneapolis. Latz—who represents Golden Valley, Hopkins and St. Louis Park—said cuts like those made to special education pit different categories of students against one another—a problem made all-the-more acute because schools must obey unfunded federal mandates regarding special education. The elimination of integration aid—which would be …
