97-year-old Woman Identified as Saturday Crash Victim
Margaret Ida Bauer was in the backseat of a sedan involved in the crash.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a 97-year-old Victoria woman as the victim in a fatal St. Louis Park crash Saturday afternoon. Margaret Ida Bauer died from “multiple blunt force injuries” as a result of the crash, which happened at 3:24 p.m. at Highway 7 and Texas Avenue, the examiner’s office announced Sunday afternoon. The crash began when a four-door sedan rear-ended an SUV and set off a chain reaction of crashes involving five cars. Police said just after the crash that Bauer was in the backseat of the sedan. St. Louis Park police continue to investigate the incident.
