Hennepin County Sheriff: Change Your Clocks, Check Safety Devices

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says Daylight Saving Time is a great opportunity to make sure smoke detectors and other safety devices are working properly.

Reminder: Daylight Saving Time Starts Sunday

Set your clocks ahead an hour.

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead by an hour tonight. Daylight Saving Time starts at 2 a.m. on Sunday. DST will end on Nov. 6, again at 2 a.m. Traditionally, Daylight Saving Time started in April, but it switched to the second Sunday in March in 2007, according to the U.S. Naval Observatory.
