School Board Delays Calendar Decision Until Later this Month

The SLP School Board will be accepting input from the public regarding the calendars through Feb. 22.

The St. Louis Park School Board's planned action regarding the district's academic calendars for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years has been pushed back two weeks. Board members were set to vote on the two draft calendars during its Feb. 11 meeting, but the district opted to push that decision back to Feb. 25 and accept feedback from members of the public through Feb. 22. District administrators offered two draft calendars during the Board's Jan. 28 meeting, with both options including a post-Labor Day start. The calendars do vary significantly in terms of the length of Winter Break and the end of the school year.
