Here's what had St. Louis Park talking this past month.

September is here, which means August is no more. As we turn the page on our calendars, here are the five stories that had St. Louis Park talking last month: 1) A Reunion for the Ages in St. Louis Park Alumni of all ages returned to St. Louis Park High School on Aug. 25 for an all-year reunion to celebrate school history and commit to future educational excellence. 2) Steel Toe Taproom Gets Council's Blessing Thanks to Surly, St. Louis Park's Steel Toe Brewing will soon be able to sell its brews by the pint on-site. City Council on Aug. 6 unanimously approved changes to its zoning and liquor codes that will allow the year-old brewery to sell its own beer on the premises. If other breweries open in St. Louis Park, they too will be allowed …

Bean Good Cafe Closes, Kosher Diner Moving In

Wednesday was the last day of business for the St. Louis Park establishment.

Wednesday was the last day of business for Bean Good Cafe, an employee told St. Louis Park Patch. Tony Troup says a new owner will be taking over, however, and plans on changing the place to a kosher restaurant and cafe.  It is unclear how long the business will remain closed as the transition happens. Customers are encouraged to call the business at 952-922-2739 to stay up to date. This isn't the first change of ownership—and name—at the location. It was known as Harvest Moon Cafe for five years before becoming Bean Good about two and a half years ago.

Bean Good received 112 votes.

St. Louis Park has spoken: Bean Good Cafe is the best coffee shop in town. The Minnetonka Boulevard business received 43 percent of the vote in our readers' choice poll, beating out Caribou—Park Center Boulevard. You can see full results below. Next Bean Good Beverage? You Decide

The St. Louis Park coffee shop is having a contest to pick a new drink.

St. Louis Park coffee shop Bean Good Cafe wants your help in deciding the next drink that gets on the menu—a decision that will also land someone a gift card. Through its Facebook page, Bean Good recently accepted drink suggestions from customers, then put those suggestions up for a vote. The six highest vote-getters will all debut in the cafe on Saturday. Whichever drink sells the most over the course of a week will get to stay on the menu permanently, while its creator will get a Bean Good gift card. The final six are:
