Woman Wields Butter Knife During Assault on St. Louis Park Man

A St. Paul woman reportedly became increasingly upset when her former high school friend wanted to get some sleep rather than drive her home.

A 26-year-old St. Louis Park man told police he had invited an old high school friend back to his apartment to watch some movies when she suddenly became violent and threatening him with a butter knife. Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Highway 100 on a report of a 23- to 25-year-old black female known simply as "Stefanee." The caller reported the woman came over to his apartment and watched movies with him until approximately 4 a.m. on April 8, when they decided to go to sleep. He told officers Stefanee demanded a ride back to her St. Paul home a short time later, then "became very angry" when she was unable to reach anyone by phone to come pick her up. 'Heavily Intoxicated' Man Allegedly Strangled, Threatened to Kill Woman in SLP Home

Jeffrey Earl Chapman, 24, reportedly became violent when the female victim did not know where his glasses were.

A 24-year-old Cokato, MN man is charged with domestic assault by strangulation after allegedly attacking a woman and threatening to kill her inside of a St. Louis Park residence. Jeffrey Earl Chapman allegedly got into an altercation with the victim on the evening of April 5, when the victim reports he attempted to strangle her and threatened to throw her down a staircase. A criminal complaint reports Chapman was intoxicated at the time of the incident, then became violent when the victim did not know where his glasses were. Chapman reportedly threw a 40-ounce beer at a projection television set, causing some damage to the corner of the unit. Man Sentenced After Police Say He Threatened Juveniles with Gun

Police say Orrin John Hager was angry because he thought the boys had stolen his child's Halloween candy.

A St. Louis Park man pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree assault, a felony, after police officers said he accused children of taking his children's candy on Halloween 2012 while holding a gun. Orrin John Hager was sentenced to 120 days in the Hennepin County Adult Corrections Facility, according to District Court records. Judge Daniel H. Mabley also ordered Hager to pay a $500 fine, due Aug. 25. Hager could be eligible for electronic home monitoring and work release after serving 30 days. He will be on probation for three years, according to court records. Vandals Trash Mercedes With Fork, Owner 'Too Busy' for Evidence Collection

Around lunch time on Jan. 22, a resident of an apartment complex on the 2500 block of Highway 100 found every body panel on his Mercedes had been scratched overnight—using a fork, according to St. Louis Park police records. The culprits also had managed to gain entry to the car and cut every leather surface in the vehicle, from seats to dashboard. The man refused to let crime lab technicians examine the vehicle for evidence, as he was "too busy." Jan. 18 Graffiti artists tagged the vestibule and stairwell of an apartment complex on the 2500 block of Highway 100.  Burglars struck a business on the 4300 block of Highway 7 overnight.
