Minnesota Book Award-Winning Mystery Writer Coming to SLP Library

Julie Kramer, a journalist-turned mystery writer whose debut novel, "Stalking Susan," won the Minnesota Book Award, will be coming to the St. Louis Park library on Dec. 13 for a live chat with book review blogger Rachel Silberman.

Kramer was raised on the Minnesota-Iowa state line reading Phyllis A. Whitney novels and now lives with her family in White Bear Lake.

Her sixth novel, "Delivering Death," is set to be published Jan. 7.

According to the bio on her website, "she tired of fictional TV reporters always being portrayed as obnoxious secondary characters who could be killed off whenever the plot started dragging, so her series features reporter Riley Spartz as heroine."

The conversation at the library is set to run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
