(PHOTOS) Rockin' at the West End for a Good Cause
Artists, music and food could all be found at the West End Block Party Saturday, which raised money for music programs at local schools.
The Block Party took place Saturday, complete with local artists, great music and delicious food. And the best part was that it benefited band and choir programs at local high schools and middle schools.
Allison Thielen, an event volunteer and teacher at an area middle school, explained how the event was able to provide money for local music programs.
"If schools are interested in helping provide volunteers, than those schools programs' would get some of the proceeds," she said.

It was estimated that about 150 volunteers from local schools helped out during the day.
