Memorial Day Road Report
If you're heading out of town for the long Memorial Day weekend or taking a drive around town, there are several areas of roadwork you might want to avoid around the metro.
Here is a list of some of the projects that might impact motorists traveling through the metro for Memorial Day weekend, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and area cities.

Road reconstruction is taking place between County Road 19 in Albertville and State Highway 241 near St. Michael.

Road construction is taking place in both directions on State Highway 55 between County Road 20 in Rockford and County Road 101 in Medina. According to MnDOT roadwork begins in Rockford and works east. Motorists are advised to expect “delays due to lane closures and full roadway closures as the project progresses. The construction is expected to continue into September.
State Highway 100
Starting Thursday, May 24 at 8 p.m., Minnesota State Highway 100 will be reduced to one lane between between Excelsior Boulevard in Saint Louis Park in and Interstate 394 in Golden Valley). The delay due to bridge maintenance will last until about 2 a.m. Friday morning.
Road reconstruction continues on Bass Lake Road in Maple Grove. The speed limit in the construction area has been reduced to 35 miles per hour.
The following projects start Monday, May 28 and continue through Tuesday, May 29:
Highway 169
The northbound entrance ramp on Highway 169 will be closed between Medicine Lake Road near Plymouth for road maintenance operations. The exit ramp on northbound Highway 169 will closed during the same time period at 77th Avenue North near Maple Grove.
Interstate 394
The eastbound entrance ramp for Interstate 394 will be closed starting Monday until May 29 at Plymouth Road in Minnetonka for road maintenance. The entrance ramp at Highway 169 in Golden Valley will also be closed for the same time period.
Interstate 494
The westbound exit ramp will be closed on Interstate 494 between Carlson Parkway and County Road 6 near Plymouth for road maintenance
