Artist Reception – St. Louis Park Library

Saturday, November 23rd 11:00 a.m.  Exhibiting St. Louis Park artist Fran Addington will talk and answer questions about her art, currently on exhibit at St. Louis Park Library through January.  Learn about Addington’s work inspired by the cave paintings at Lascaux.  Addington will speak about the cave paintings at Lascaux, the time they were painted, and speculate about what the cave paintings tell us about the people who painted them.  She will also talk about her method of painting the works.  Why did she dye the canvas?  Why are the canvases large?  Her reuse of old canvases, the pros and cons of painting with acrylics and the process an artist must use in presenting his/her work.
