Williams Named New St. Louis Park Girls Hockey Coach

Donnie Williams previously served as an assistant with the boys team under Tim Donahue.

Donnie Williams is going from one hockey program to the other.

Williams, who became an assistant under Tim Donahue with the boys team in 1997 and along with Donahue after this past season, will be taking over the girls team next season. The announcement was made Saturday.

The two-time Section 5A assistant coach of the year will be faced with a tough rebuilding task, as the Orioles girls went 3-22-1 in 2010-11, a year after going winless.
