St. Louis Park's Cichoski Seventh After First Day At State Golf

The Orioles' junior shot a 73 on the first day of the Class AAA state meet at Bunker Hills

St. Louis Park junior Matt Cichoski finished up the first day of the Class AAA state boys golf tournament tied for seventh place overall.

Cichoski is tied with three other golfers in seventh place after 18 holes at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. His first-round score of 73 is three shots off the pace. Forest Lake’s Max Kelly currently sits alone in first with a round of 70.

In the team competition, Eden Prairie and Rogers each tied for first with 299 after the first day, while two-time defending champion Wayzata finished the day third at 301.
