St. Louis Park's Cichoski Finishes 15th At State

The Orioles junior shot a 77 on the final day of the tournament.

St. Louis Park junior Matt Cichoski finished the Class AAA state boys golf meet tied for 15th place on Wednesday at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

Cichoski finished the two-day meet with a 150 total score. He was one of 19 golfers to crack the 150 mark at the state meet.

Cichoski finished Tuesday tied for seventh overall with a first-round score of 73. he shot 77 on the final day, which included a 38 on the East nine holes and a 39 on the West nine.

Four other golfers finished with a 150 for the tournament.

Forest Lake’s Max Kelly finished as the individual state champion with a round of 143.

In the team competition, Wayzata and Rogers finished tied for the state championship. Wayzata shot a 291 on the final day to tie Rogers with a 592 overall score.
