McGregor is training for the Olympic marathon team.

“Michelle (Michelle Frey, who finished second) and I are both gearing up for the Olympic trials so this was a perfect race to help prepare for some bigger marathons we’ll run in the fall," McGregor said in a press release. "The Twin Cities has a very competitive running field so though it was great running in familiar territory, the tough competition really made this race fun.”
