St. Louis Park's offense was effective on Friday night at home, but the defense couldn't get enough stops to beat North Branch.
The Vikings (2-3 overall, 2-2 North Suburban Conference) scored in every quarter en route to a 42-35 win over the Orioles (1-4 overall, 0-4 NSC).
The game was even through halftime, but North Branch outscored Park 14-7 in the third quarter, which proved to be decisive.
Kashif Hayes had a big game for the Orioles, racking up 31 carries for 189 yards and two touchdowns. DJ Pollard added two catches for 55 yards, with both receptions being touchdowns.
St. Louis Park gets Hill-Murray next Friday in a homecoming game for the Orioles.
