St. Louis Park Legion Begins Gopher Classic 0-2

The Railcats lost to Rapid City and Burnsville on Friday in Chanhassen

The St. Louis Park American Legion baseball team opened up the Gopher Classic tournament with a pair of losses Friday at Chanhassen High School.

The Railcats played back-to-back games to begin play in the Chanhassen pool. They lost 8-0 to Rapid City, SD, in eight innings before falling 13-0 to Burnsville in five innings.

St. Louis Park has one game on Saturday. The Railcats will face Chippewa Falls, WI, at 9 a.m. to begin play on Day 2.

Burnsville finished the first day of competition with a 1-0 record. Rapid City and Chanhassen finished 2-0, Chippewa Falls finished 0-1 and Anoka finished 0-2.

Sorry, Barb. These games are being played at Chanhassen High School. SLP has two games on Sunday—one at 4:30 and the other at 7.
