St. Louis Park Girls Soccer Ties Hopkins

The Orioles and the Royals finished deadlocked on Monday evening, 1-1.

Hopkins and St. Louis Park got locked in a tight battle Monday night in Hopkins, and the two teams ended up playing to a 1-1 draw.

The Royals were on the attack most of the game, but Park goalie Riley Riordan made some big saves, keeping the Orioles in the game.

Hopkins senior Abby Nyquist scored the game's first goal with a free kick that she launched to the far corner of the net. Park would get the tying goal from defender Chloe Chong with a long shot that went in just under the cross bar.

The Orioles have a quick turnaround, with their next game coming tonight at home versus North Branch. The action will get underway at 7 p.m.
