Park Girls Lacrosse Shines on Senior Night
The Orioles blasted Orono on Monday and celebrated their graduating players.
Consider it icing on a nice cake.
The girls lacrosse team had already completed a perfect 6-0 season in the North Suburban Conference, and on Monday, the Orioles beat non-conference foe Orono 16-7 on Senior Night. Park finished the regular season 11-2 overall.
Graduating from the varsity team are Ellie Hoppmann, Shelby Cullen, Paige Anderson, Keanna Fox, Megan Sawatzky and Chloe Chong. Graduating from the junior varsity are Carina Halenke, Jenna Sheldon, Kaitlyn Noreen and Elana Vlodaverand.

But before the seniors move on, the Orioles will compete in the Section 5 playoffs, which begin May 23. If they get the top seed in the section, the Orioles will get a first round bye and begin play on May 25.
If Park advances out of sections, the state tournament awaits, beginning on June 5.
