Hockey in the Park: Interview With Shjon Podein
The coach sat down recently and discussed St. Louis Park's turnaround.
After netting just two wins in 2010-11, the St. Louis Park boys hockey team had a huge turnaround this year, finishing the regular season on Saturday with a 17-5-3 record and plenty of optimism entering the section playoffs.
One of the main reasons for the turnaround has been new head coach Shjon Podein. Podein, a former NHL player who won the Stanley Cup in 2001, has brought energy and excitement to the program—as well as a great understanding of the game.
The new coach recently sat down with Steve Hahn for an interview on his new public access show "Hockey in the Park." You can watch the Podein interview above.
