Coming off of back-to-back losses, the Orioles got a much needed road win, 7-1 over Robbinsdale Cooper.

Park (8-4-1) got a hat trick from senior captain Tyler Brodersen and two goals from freshman Josh Passolt. Sean Berens and Alec Baer added a goal apiece, and goalie Ryan Nichols stopped 21 of 22 shots.

BSM Boys Hockey Falls to Tough Foe

The Red Knights lost a tough road game, falling to Minnetonka (No. 2 in Class 2A), 5-3.

BSM (No. 6 in Class 2A) stayed with the Skippers in the first, as the two teams entered the intermission tied 2-2. But Minnetonka took the lead with the lone goal of the second period, then pulled away with two more in the third. BSM fell to 9-4 on the season with the loss.

T.J. Moore scored twice for the Red Knights, while Jake Horton added a goal.

Up next for BSM is a Saturday road game against Robbinsdale Cooper.

SLP Girls Hockey Loses Close One

The Orioles fell to 3-15 on the season after losing at home to St. Francis-North Branch in overtime, 2-1.

Lauren Bruun-Bryant scored the lone goal for Park in the first period, while goalie Hannah Brodersen kept the team in the game with 27 saves.

Up next for the Orioles is a Saturday road game against Spring Lake Park.

BSM Girls Basketball

Led by 19 points from Grace Coughlin and 17 from Josie Dillon, the Red Knights topped Irondale on the road, 63-42.

BSM (No. 5 in Class 3A) improved to 10-2 with the victory.
