BSM Girls Hoops Goes to 5-1

The Red Knights only allowed host Totino-Grace to score eight points in the first half Friday, and BSM went on to win easily, 55-37.

BSM (5-1) got 16 points from Grace Coughlin and 12 from Khadijah Shumpert. Josie Dillon added nine.

SLP Girls Hoops Falls

A two-game win streak for the Orioles came to an end on Friday, as host Chisago Lakes routed Park, 76-46.

Park (2-3) got 13 points each from Cianna Edwards and Katelyn Ederer.

The Orioles next game is tonight at home against Brooklyn Center.

SLP Boys Basketball Downed by Apple Valley

A season of near-misses continued for the Orioles on Friday, as Park fell to Apple Valley on the road, 91-87.

St. Louis Park (2-3) has lost three games this year by a combined seven points. The most recent loss came at the hands of one of the most talented—and highly recruited—players in the state, Apple Valley's Tyus Jones. Jones, who is only a sophomore, scored 21 points.

The Orioles were led by 20 points from Makhi Moore, 19 from Kashif Hayes and 17 each from Marshall Cullen and D.J. Pollard.

Park will travel to St. Paul Central on Thursday in its next game.

SLP Boys Hockey Improves to 5-0

The Orioles won their home opener over St. Francis on Saturday, 7-3, to improve to 5-0 on the season. For a full recap, see this .

BSM Alpine Skiing Competes at Wild Mountain

The BSM girls alpine ski team came in 15th out of 25 teams at Friday's Wild Mountain Invitational in Taylors Falls, MN, while the boys came in 21st.

Hannah Cope led the way for the girls, as she finished in 21st place individually out of more than 120 skiers. Kyle Anderson came in 32nd place on the boys side.

Both teams will next compete in a Tuesday meet at the Hyland Hills Ski Area in Bloomington.
