SLP Girls Qualify For Track and Field Junior Olympics

They will be heading to Greensboro, NC, later this month after placing in the top five in a recent meet.

Two St. Louis Park girls have qualified for the 2013 USA Track and Field (USATF) Junior Olympics in a couple of weeks.

Faith Robinson, 12, and Grace Robinson, 11, were two of the top five competitors in their events, according to information provided by Lisa Robinson.
 
Here are their accomplishments at the recent USATF Region 8 Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships:

Faith
Gold medal in 100m, running 12.92
Gold medal in long jump, at 14 feet, 10 3/4 inches
Runner-up in 200m, running 27.47

Grace
Runner-up in pentathlon multi-event (80m hurdles, shot put, high jump, long jump, and 800m)
Fourth in 800m, running 2.44
Fifth in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 1 1/4 inches

In the 2013 USATF Youth Outdoor Championships, Faith placed fourth in the final of the 100m, running 13.31, and eighth in the long jump, clearing 14 feet, 3 inches.
