SLP, BSM Legion Teams Eliminated From Gopher Classic
The large baseball tournament continues with championship round play today.
Legion baseball teams from and were both eliminated during pool play of the 2011 Gopher Classic.
St. Louis Park finished 1-4, while BSM went 2-3. The tournament, which is the largest American Legion baseball tournament in the country with 66 teams, had 11 different groups during pool play. The winner of each—plus the top-five runners-up—advanced to Monday's championship round.
The tournament semifinals and final will be Tuesday at Veterans Field in Minnetonka.
