SLIDESHOW: St. Louis Park Sending One Swimmer to State

The Orioles did not qualify for state as a team, but Erik McCague will be going in the 100-yard butterfly.

St. Louis Park finished sixth in the boys Section 6AA Swimming and Diving meet Saturday, which was not good enough to send the team to state. However, junior Erik McCague will be going to the state individual meet in the 100-yard butterfly.

Minnetonka placed first in the meet, held at the Art Downey Aquatic Center in Edina. The team will be sending eight swimmers to the individual state meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on Thursday.

Ednia finished third in the meet and will be sending six swimmers to the state meet. Both Edina's Max Cartwright and Mike Gratz took home first place medals in their individual events Saturday.
