Senior Spotlight: Hannah Geressu
Hannah is on the St. Louis Park girls soccer team. She also competes at track and field.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up and why?
Michelle Kwan, because she was such fun to watch. I figure skated when I was younger, so every time I went to the rink for practice I pretended I was her.

What is your favorite subject in school?
German
Do you have a favorite sports memory?
When I was 11, my team went to the state tournament. We were playing this super-tough Mahtomedi team, and we just couldn’t manage to put one in. Finally, near the end of the game, I got the ball, dribbled up the field, and scored. We won, and it was the best feeling ever.

What song do you listen to before games to get you pumped up?
“Waka Waka” by Shakira
If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?
Ireland. The accents are so cool and the landscape is just gorgeous.
What are your plans next year (going to college? majoring in? playing sports?)
College somewhere on the east coast. I’m thinking about majoring in German or some form of writing. I think I’ll play soccer in college, though I’m not sure at what level.
