(PHOTOS) It's Time to 'Play Ball' at Northside Park

With help from Twins mascot T.C. Bear, the St. Louis Park field celebrated a grand reopening Saturday.

With barely a cloud in the sky, the St. Louis Park baseball community gathered to celebrate the grand reopening of Northside Park on Saturday.

The home of St. Louis Park Little League was recently renovated. The roughly $1 million project included the addition of a third field, as well as upgrades to dugouts, batting cages and bleachers. Funding came from Hennepin County , as well as the city.

Twins mascot T.C. Bear was on hand for Saturday's celebration, helping throw out a ceremonial first pitch with Mayor Jeff Jacobs before Little League teams started their seasons.
