Orioles, Red Knights Continue To Play Between Rainouts

Cold spring showers wiped out a majority of Tuesday's contests after a busy Monday.

Prior to yet another afternoon's worth of events being wiped out on Tuesday—the second time in less than a week that weather has wreaked havoc on local sports—squads from and did manage to get in a slate of contests with cooperative weather on Monday as the first month of the spring season neared a close.

St. Louis Park Softball: Orioles Fall To 1-5

The St. Louis Park softball team fell to 1-5 on the season after an 18-2 loss at Totino-Grace on Monday.

Bria Evans leads the Orioles with a .588 batting average and five runs batted in, with Sammi Lenss' five runs scored also pacing the team.

St. Louis Park Baseball: Orioles Drop First Of Season To Red Knights

A 4-3 loss to cross-town rival Benilde-St. Margaret's on Monday dropped the St. Louis Park baseball team to 5-1 on the season.

The Orioles host North Suburban rival Columbia Heights on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

St. Louis Park Boys Track And Field: Orioles Host Meet, Finish Seventh

The St. Louis Park boys track and field team hosted an invitational meet on Monday and finished seventh with 49 points. Individual results were not available.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys Lacrosse: Red Knights Now 6-0

After topping Eden Prairie and Irondale to open the week, the Benilde-St. Margaret's boys lacrosse team sits at 6-0 heading into a Friday home game against Breck.

The Red Knights topped the Eagles 10-6 on Monday, then walloped the Knights 15-1 on Tuesday with Will Hoesley's 24 points now leading the squad, followed by Christian Horn's 18 points and Taylor Topousis' 15.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Girls Lacrosse: Roseville 18, Red Knights 8

The Benilde-St. Margaret's girls lacrosse team dropped to 1-2 on the year after an 18-8 loss at Roseville on Monday. 

Maddy Moore's five goals lead the Red Knights, with Sara Taffe having scored three goals this spring.

BSM travels to Irondale at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Softball: Red Knights Rout Chisago Lakes

The Benilde-St. Margaret's softball team thumped Chisago Lakes, 13-3, on Monday to improve to 3-1 this spring.

Individual statistics were not available. The Red Knights travel to North Branch on Wednesday and return home to play Spring Lake Park at 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Baseball: Red Knights Improve to 5-2

A 4-3 defeat of neighboring St. Louis Park upped the Benilde-St. Margaret's baseball team's record to 5-2 this spring.

Gabe McDonald leads the Red Knights with a .467 batting average, while Joe Melles sports a team-high 10 RBI.

BSM hosts Spring Lake Park on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys Golf: Red Knights Seventh At Burl Oaks

The Benilde-St. Margaret's boys golf team carded a 332 to finish seventh at the Burl Oaks Invitational in Minnetrista on Monday. Individual results were not available.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Girls Golf: Red Knights Host Invite, Take Third

The Benilde-St. Margaret's girls golf team hosted an invitational tournament at Wild Marsh Golf Course in Buffalo and finished third with a score of 383. Individual results were not available.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys Tennis: Red Knights Shutout Hylanders

The Benilde-St. Margaret's boys tennis team defeated Columbia Heights by a score of 7-0 on Monday. Individual results were not available.
