Dakota Park Ball Field Dedicated to Derrick Keller
Keller died June 26 at the age of 18 after a months-long battle with leukemia.
Family, friends and community members came together May 22 to remember former St. Louis Park baseball standout Derrick Keller by dedicating Derrick Keller Field at Dakota Park.
Keller died June 26 at the age of 18 after a months-long battle with leukemia.
“I’m here today with a little bit of mixed emotion,” said John Hynes, one of the people who helped work with the city on the dedication. “I’m sad that we had to do this, but I’m very grateful and thankful that we’re able to do it.”
