BSM Girls Advance, Will Play for Section Title

The Red Knights girls basketball team defeated Holy Family Catholic in the section semifinals Saturday night.

was never seriously threatened by Holy Family Catholic Saturday night, as the Red Knights rolled to a 51-29 win in a Section 6AAA semifinal game.

BSM held a comfortable lead for the majority of the game, with it fluctuating between seven and 12 points. Then, with 12 minutes remaining in the second half, the Red Knights went on a run that would leave no doubt, building a 20-plus point lead and denying Holy Family any hope of a miraculous comeback.

The Red Knights will play either Richfield or Orono in the section championship game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Minnetonka High School.
