Benilde-St. Margaret's Baseball Squad Falls To Totino-Grace

The Red Knights couldn't hold an early lead Monday afternoon.

The baseball team lost to Totino-Grace on the road Monday, 6-2. The Red Knights started the game by scoring two runs in the first inning, but the Eagles came back with four runs in the second inning to pull ahead—and they never looked back.

Ben Meyer tossed a three-hit complete game for Totino-Grace and was in cruise control after the first inning. Jimmy Heck, who started on the mound for BSM, left in the third with a sore shoulder. Heck and Joe Melles drove in the only two Red Knights runs.

Up next for BSM (7-3 overall, 7-2 in the North Suburban Conference) is a Wednesday afternoon road game against Chisago Lakes.
