BSM Falls to Eastview in Tip Off Classic
The Red Knights came up short, 61-54, in a tough, physical contest with the Lightning.
(No. 1, Class 3A) fell to Eastview (No. 3, Class 4A) 61-54 on Saturday in a gritty, physical match-up as part of the 10th Annual Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic held at Minnetonka High School.
The Red Knights held a 31-28 halftime lead and matched Eastview most of the way in a contest that featured loose ball scrums, physical inside play and high emotions. But missed shots near the end of the game and defensive rebounds by Eastview sealed the win for the Lightning.
Isaiah Zierden scored 16 of his 20 points down the stretch for the Red Knights to keep the Lightning within striking distance until the end. Sanjay Lumpkin and Will Dunn each contributed 12 points for the Red Knights.

Benilde-St. Margaret's will next face Minneapolis South on Tuesday night.
