On Sunday, the second JabbyFest will start at 6 p.m. at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill. The Jack Jablonski BEL13VE in Miracles Foundation is holding the event, which will feature music, and food and beverage specials.

Jack has been making steady progress since sustaining a spinal cord injury on Dec. 30, 2011.

In a CaringBridge journal entry Tuesday, Jack's mom, Leslie, reminded readers of JabbyFest, and shared some new highlights of Jack's progress:

Last Friday, March 1st, Jack went through his usual ABLE session at Courage Center. Afterwards, they shook things up a bit and set Jack up with a couple of Wii games.

At first he wondered how on earth he was going to manage this, but he did. No surprise. At least not to those of us who BEL13VE in Jack. He and one of his trainers engaged in a few rounds of silly fun and targeted movements. Jack's competitive side emerged and a vicious session of dance something-or-other was in full swing.

In addition to playing Wii, Jack was able (no pun intended) to stay in the standing frame and punch a beach ball back and forth. Sounds trivial, but these efforts are huge. We're at the point where we can think of where Jack was at a year ago, and once again, we're amazed and impressed with how far he's come.

In addition to the Sunday event, the Jack Jablonski BEL13VE in Miracles Foundation will sell Jabby stuff at a booth at the expo at the Minnesota State High School League hockey tournament at the Xcel Energy Center.
