St. Louis Park Rotary Gives 340 Spanish-English Dictionaries Third-Graders

The St. Louis Park Rotary has given more than 2,400 dictionaries to students in the past seven years.

This spring, thee St. Louis Park Rotary Club handed out 340 Spanish-English dictionaries to every third-grade student in the district. 

The Rotary has given away more than 2,400 dictionaries since 2007.

Steve Solbrack, a Rotarian who handed out the books with Superintendent Deb Bowers on March 7, said that many of the students remembered when their older sibling received dictionaries from the club in previous years.

"They have great energy, are very curious and interested with good questions, and happy to receive a gift," Solbrack wrote in an email. "They were very interested and had many questions when I told them about my international travels for Rotary International Service Projects."
