Jack Jablonski Reportedly Experiences Tingling in Right Foot

His mother, Leslie, reports he was getting a massage recently when he felt a tingling in his toes.

During a recent doctor's visit, Jack Jablonski—a Benilde-St. Margaret's student who was tragically injured during a hockey game in 2012—reportedly felt a "tingling in his toes" on his right foot.

In a post on Jack's CaringBridge page, Leslie said Jack was getting a massage at his doctor's office and was getting his feet flexed. When the doctor asked Jabs if he felt anything, Leslie said he was able to let them know which foot was being manipulated without seeing anything.

"My eyes swelled with tears when Jack said he felt something and knew exactly which foot it was," Leslie wrote. "It was an OMG moment!!"

Touch and go. Literally.

Sometimes we'll touch Jack's feet or toes. Most of the time he doesn't feel anything, but sometimes he does. Then the feeling flees. But at least he felt something!! Touch and go.

Jack was with one of his docs about two weeks ago. He was lying face-down on a massage table (yes, he's treated to a heavenly massage once a week). The doc was flexing Jack's feet. He asked him if he felt anything. Jack said yes, he felt tingling in his toes. Right foot.

Keep in mind he was face down and had no clue which foot was being manipulated. My eyes swelled with tears when Jack said he felt something and knew exactly which foot it was.

It was an OMG moment!!

And, a few days ago, Jack asked Max to flex his right foot. Usually there's a reason when he asks. Without question, Max did just that. And guess what? Jack felt tingling in the dorsal - top of the foot.

More reason to jump for joy.

Jack hesitates to admit when he feels something. He doesn't want to get his hopes up, so he's extremely cautious. When he does tell me he's felt something, I know he's absolutely sure he did. Not a phantom feeling. Not a spasm. Not a reflex. But something real.

I know these sensations are far-and-few between, but they give us hope. Lots of hope.

Reason to BEL13VE.

Nothing wrong with that.

P.S. Note the photo of Jack on his knees. He did that with very little support. Another encouraging moment.
