District to Continue Leasing out Cedar Manor Building

The school closed prior to the 2010 school year.

The St. Louis Park School Board decided on Monday to continue leasing out the former Cedar Manor School building.

The elementary school closed prior to the 2010 school year, triggering a .

After the closure, the district began leasing out the building to four tenants—, Chesterton Academy, and Transition Plus. Last year, the district netted nearly $169,000 by leasing out the space. This year, that number is expected to be around $226,000.

Sandy Salin, the district's finance director, said the four current tenants will be given the option to renew their leases. If any opt out, the district will invite new tenants, as space allows.
