BSM Girls Soccer Competing for State Title Thursday

The Red Knights will face Blake in the championship game at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The Benilde-St. Margaret's girls soccer team has a chance to bring home the Minnesota State Class A title Thursday, Nov. 1, as they face Blake in the state tournament finals.

In a rematch of last year's championship game, the Red Knights and Bears will square off at 10 a.m. in the Metrodome. Blake won last year's title game, defeating BSM 1-0.

The girls earned their spot in the title match by surviving an intense semi-final bout with South St. Paul. Aleksa Tataryn and Maria Michels both scored goals for the Red Knights in regulation play, with the score tied at 2-2.
