St. Louis Park Joins Nextdoor.com, a Neighborhood Social Network

St. Louis Park joins Edina and Roseville as the third Minnesota city to form a relationship with the private social networking site.

The city of St. Louis Park has signed up for Nextdoor.com, a private social networking site devoted exclusively to forming relationships between neighbors.

St. Louis Park is the third city in Minnesota to forge an official relationship with the site and will be able to post information, such as important news, services, programs, free events, and emergency notifications, to the city's Nextdoor websites.

"Nextdoor will be an excellent tool for connecting with the St. Louis Park Neighborhoods," Community Liaison Breanna Erickson said in a statement. "I'm confident using this tool will most importantly enhance communication and relationships between neighbors, as well as increase the flow of information from the city to its residents."

Residents of St. Louis Park neighborhoods can register for free for the site, which restricts membership by street address.
