The filing period for municipal offices ends at 5 p.m. today.

Update 2 (3:05 p.m.): The "at-large B" pool is up to four, as Tim Brausen has filed.

Original story (11:59 a.m.): With the filing deadline approaching this afternoon, local races are shaping up—and St. Louis Park appears set for an August primary.

There are now three candidates for the City Council’s “at-large A” opening, meaning an Aug. 9 primary will be needed to whittle the list down to two. Currently, incumbent Paul Omodt is up against Steve Hallfin and Justin Kaufman.

The city’s “at-large B” race currently has two candidates—Lisa Miller and Jake Spano. Incumbent Phil Finkelstein announced earlier this month that .

The only other local seat up for election is the mayor’s, and to date, incumbent Jeff Jacobs is the only person to file.
