Introducing 'A Casual Night with the Candidates'

St. Louis Park Patch is sponsoring a unique event where you can meet candidates for City Council and school board.

Too often during elections, voters only hear from the candidates through processed speeches and talking points.

St. Louis Park Patch wants to provide something different in 2011.

On Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 4-6 p.m., Patch is sponsoring at . Guests will be able to chat with candidates for City Council and school board in a relaxed environment, one-on-one, with no speeches or talking points—you set the agenda.

Every five minutes, we'll ring a bell, and you'll be able to move onto another discussion with another candidate. Want to resume a chat from earlier? That's fine, too.

What you talk about is completely up to you—this is your chance to get to know the candidates on a personal level before the Nov. 8 election.
